I am in active recruiting mode on behalf of a client who is experiencing rapid global growth and success. They are a multi-award winning trading and risk management software provider to the energy and commodities markets.
With offices in Australia, UK and USA, they have a strong international client base with clients in over twenty countries. Backed by a reputable energy exchange company, my client has been recognised as a global leader in energy and commodity pricing and analytics.
The Role
With the recent addition of new clients and planned growth my client is growing the team focused on providing an excellent customer experience post implementation.
As part of this team, I am looking for a driven Quantitative Support Analyst who will investigate, test and resolve product and service queries, providing information and education through in-depth knowledge of my client’s product / solutions.
This is a full-time based, hybrid role in London, UK.
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage the ticket queue system, providing remote support to our global customer base.
- Manage the resolution of customer product or service problems through troubleshooting technical issues, determining the root cause of the issue, managing the escalation if required and communicating the progress and solution to the client.
- Applying your quantitative and mathematical knowledge to understand my client’s platform to investigate and resolve tickets
- Demonstrate a solid commitment to customer service focusing on quality and timeliness of communication and feedback.
- Contribute towards support and training documentation, both creation and maintenance.
- Participate in client training.
To be successful in this role you will likely have a quantitative analyst background, as well as an understanding of university level mathematics and interest in applying your statistical, analytical, programming and finance knowledge.
Experience working in the energy and commodities markets and/or knowledge of trading, valuation and risk analytics would be a massive advantage.
You will be self-motivated, be able to learn quickly and have the ability to adapt to new challenges and situations.
Additionally, you will likely have and be able to demonstrate:
- A client centered approach and excellent communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree, or higher, with a quantitative or finance emphasis.
- Exposure to quantitative methods and/or finance.
- Ability to self-organise, multi-task and deliver to deadlines.
- Being a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of an international, multi-location team.
- Experience with Excel/VBA and SQL (Knowledge of C# would be an advantage)
You must have unrestricted rights to work in the UK.
A test of your technical skills will be part of the selection process.
